Dallas Thread Lift Cost Breakdown: What the Quote Leaves Out
Dallas thread lift cost breakdown by thread type and treated area, taken from named Texas clinic price pages, plus the Texas Medical Board rule that decides who may perform it.
What to take away
- Published Texas pricing for a PDO thread lift runs from $1,500 to $4,500 per session. InjectCo, which has a Dallas location, and The MedSpa of DFW in Grapevine both print that range.
- Price follows thread type and treated area. Smooth threads cost $20 to $50 each at InjectCo. Barbed cog threads cost $150 to $300 each.
- Most Dallas clinics do not post prices at all. Mara's Med Spa in Dallas gives an exact quote only at a consultation.
- Texas Medical Board rule 22 TAC §169.28 requires med spas to post the delegating physician's name and license number.
- Touch-ups, facility fees and anesthetic rarely appear in published pricing. Ask for each in writing.
Why Dallas quotes vary so widely
A thread lift places absorbable sutures under the skin and pulls tissue upward. The thread does the work. The person placing it decides whether the result looks natural or pulled.
Brand matters too. Nebraska Medicine describes NovaThreads as absorbable PDO sutures and says the Silhouette InstaLift uses a different suture that lasts longer. Longer-lasting products usually cost more, which is one reason two Dallas quotes for "a thread lift" are rarely comparable.
The Dallas thread lift cost breakdown, line by line
These are the figures clinics and price guides actually publish. Dallas-specific menus are scarce, so the table mixes one Texas-wide clinic group with Dallas-area pages. Check each against your own written estimate.
| Line item | Published figure | Source and notes |
|---|---|---|
| Smooth (mono) PDO threads | $20 to $50 per thread | InjectCo, nine Texas locations including Dallas and Plano |
| Screw (twisted) threads | $40 to $75 per thread | InjectCo |
| Barbed (cog) threads | $150 to $300 per thread; $1,500 to $4,500 per session | InjectCo |
| Basic and premium threads | $30 to $50 and $75 to $150 per thread | The MedSpa of DFW, Grapevine; it says a session uses 6 to 30 threads |
| Brow lift | $600 to $1,200 | InjectCo, per area |
| Jawline | $800 to $1,500 | InjectCo, per area |
| Neck and submental area | $800 to $2,000 | InjectCo, per area |
| Mid face and cheeks | $1,200 to $2,000 | InjectCo, per area |
| Lower face and neck together | $1,500 to $2,800 | InjectCo |
| Full face | $2,000 to $4,500 | InjectCo; The MedSpa of DFW lists $3,000 to $4,500+ |
| Dallas estimates: lower face and jowls, 8 to 12 threads | $1,980 to $2,838 | Get Clear Beauty directory; estimates, none provider-verified |
| Dallas estimates: full face, 20 to 30+ threads | $2,750 to $5,108 | Get Clear Beauty directory; estimates |
| Aftercare products | $50 to $200 | The MedSpa of DFW |
| Repeat treatment | 60 to 75 percent of the first price, every 12 to 18 months | The MedSpa of DFW |
| Provider fee, facility fee, anesthetic, touch-up | Not published separately | None of the pages above prices these lines |
For scale, both clinics also print a traditional facelift price of $7,500 to $15,000. The Wikipedia article on thread lift covers the thread categories.
The fees that go missing
The last row of the table is the point. No page checked lists a separate provider fee. InjectCo says only licensed nurse injectors place its threads, under physician supervision, so the injector's time sits inside the per-area price. That is a reasonable way to bill, but it means the price you compare is not the thread price.
Three charges are worth asking about by name. A facility fee, if the procedure happens in a surgical suite. An anesthetic or numbing charge. A touch-up fee if the first result is uneven. Threads settle over weeks, so ask whether an adjustment is included or billed as a new session.
The nine line items on a typical cosmetic quote apply here as well.
A quote without a touch-up policy is not a quote. It is an opening offer.
Who is allowed to perform it
The Texas Medical Board moved its delegation rules into Chapter 169 of Title 22 of the Texas Administrative Code, effective January 9, 2025. The older med spa rule, 22 TAC §193.17, was repealed.
Under §169.28, any business providing delegated acts must post, in each public area and treatment room, a complaint notice and the name and Texas license number of each delegating physician. Each person performing a delegated act must wear a name tag or similar identification showing their credentials.
So ask three things. Who is the delegating physician, and is the name posted? What license does the injector hold? Who handles a complication? A clinic that cannot answer is telling you something about its price.
Comparing two Dallas quotes
- Request the itemized estimate in writing, including thread brand, type and count.
- Ask who performs the procedure and what license they hold.
- Ask what happens if the result is uneven at 30 days.
- Confirm whether the follow-up visit is included.
- Compare the total, not the headline number.

A hypothetical example
Suppose a Dallas clinic advertises a jawline thread lift at $1,400. The written estimate then adds a $250 facility fee, $75 for anesthetic and a $400 touch-up clause if asymmetry persists past 30 days. Thread count is 16, not the 24 discussed at the consult.
A second clinic quotes $2,100 all-in for 24 threads, a 60-day follow-up and one included adjustment. The second invoice is higher on paper and lower in practice if anything needs correcting. These numbers are invented to show the arithmetic.
Reading the fine print
Nebraska Medicine says PDO threads dissolve within a couple of months and that effects last up to nine months, so repeat sessions may be needed. That is why The MedSpa of DFW prices maintenance as a share of the first treatment.
Silhouette InstaLift appears in the FDA device database as a bioabsorbable lift thread under 510(k) numbers K142061, K163676 and K200140. Ask whether the clinic uses a cleared product or an unbranded thread.
Healing after a lift in Texas summers is its own question, covered in how Texas humidity and Florida heat affect recovery. If the goal is a changed look rather than a lifted one, the celebrity smiles styles piece separates photographic effects from clinical work, and the before and after photo checklist shows how to read any result photo.
